POSITION: Development Coordinator
RESPONSIBLE TO: Chief Operating Officer
COMMITMENT (HOURS): Full-time (40 hours/week)
STATUS: Exempt (6 months orientation period)

JOB SUMMARY:
The Development Coordinator is responsible to handle various projects and supportive functions as assigned by the Chief Operating Offier. The Development Coorindator is also responsible for writing grants, proposals and assisting with written communications such as annual report and press releases.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONIBILITIES:

Assist Chief Operating Officer with marketing, outreach and fundraising activities.

Assist with developing and seeking out new resources for fund development.

Responsible for writing grants, proposals, conducting grant research and other fund development projects.

Coordinate media activities as necessary.

Write press releases.

Assist with writing, design and publication of annual report.

Assist and develop direct mail plan to renew current donors and new donors.

Assist with technical and logistical aspects of all special events.

Desktop designing as required.

Maintain and update donors' database.

Provide clerical support to the Development Department as necessary.

Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS:

College degree.

Knowledge and experience in marketing, development or fundraising a plus.

Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks to meet time deadlines.

Familiar with the community.

Excellent writing and verbal communication skills required.

Strong knowledge of PC computer and database preferred.

Strong interpersonal skills.
-
Bi-lingual in Cantonese/English preferred, but not required.
ADA REQUIRMENT:

Ability to travel between offices and to outside sites.

Abilty to communicate effectively, oral and written.

Mobility - walk/travel to and from offices or meetings.

Ability to lift 20 - 50 pounds.
SALARY RANGE:
$33.3k - $38k per annum, plus full benefits.
