COMMITMENT (HOURS):    Full-time (40 hours/week)

STATUS:                                     Exempt (6 months orientation period)

JOB SUMMARY:

Family Bridges, Inc. is a community based health and social services agency serving 10,000 low income, limited English proficient Asian seniors and children each year.  We are seeking an energetic, ethical, and creative individual to inititate, plan develop and implement an individual major donor program for the organization.  With support and oversight from the organization's executive management team, the Major Gifts Manager will be responsible for designing a strategy to address prospecting, cultivation, solicitation and relationship management of individual and corporate major donors.

 

 

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONIBILITIES:

  • Develop a Major Gifts strategy to support Family Bridges strategic plan.
  • Meet with executive leadership team and contribute to critical planning and fundraising discussions.
  • Develop and present proposals and communication materials to solicit major gifts. 
  • Help build a pipline of donors.
  • Examine list of existing donors and develop methods to increase donation amounts.
  • Develop and oversee process of donor stewaardship. 
  • Prepare and monitor the major gifts budget.
  • Maintain and manage fundraising database.
  • Submit monthly reports related to donor tracking, maintaining relationships, and solicitation activity. 
  • Assess the current donor database system and reconfigures as necessary to optimize prospect and donor management.
  • Attend fund raisers and community events.
  • Keep informed about laws and tax changes that may affect major gift giving.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 5-7 years fundraising experience with emphasis on individual major donor management, planned giving, and prospect management.
  • Ability to understand the needs and interests of leadership and major gift donors in order to develop relationships.
  • Familiarity with donor prospect management systems.
  • Non-profit fundraising experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership and the ability to successfully manage multi-functional or diverse areas.
  • Successful experience in making cold calls as well as developing cultivation and solicitation strategies.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills and a demonstrated record of completing assignments.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills.
  • Proficient in management fundraising database.
  • Excellent computer skills (Excel, Words, Powerpoint, Photoshop, ...etc.)

  

ADA REQUIREMENT:

  • Ability to use the computer for long period of time.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks to meet time deadlines.
  • Ability to travel between offices and to outside sites.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, oral and written.
  • Must be able to drive a car to attend off-site meetings.
  • To lift a minimum of 20 lbs.
  •   

SALARY RANGE:

Base salary + incentive, plus benefits.
