POSITION: DRIVER (Per Diem)
RESPONSIBLE TO: Program Director, Hong Fook Adult Day Health
Care Center
COMMITMENT (HOURS): On-call
STATUS: Non-Exempt (3 months orientation period)
APPLICATION DEADLINE: Open until filled
JOB SUMMARY: Under the direction
of the Program Director of Hong Fook ADHC Center, the driver is responsible
for transportation related services of Family Bridges, Inc.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Promptly and safely transport Family Bridges
Inc.’s participants to and from the agency.
- Assist in the transportation of meals from
the meal provider to the Center and the food containers back to the
meal provider.
- Adhere to transportation requirements of our Auto Insurance company.
- Complete the appropriate paper work related to the program accurately.
- Assist in the transportation of office equipment
and supplies.
- Provide transportation for field trips when
needed.
- Maintain the vans in clean, safe and operable
condition.
- Attend appropriate meetings, eg. safety committee meetings, staff
meetings.
- Attend all training sessions and in-services assigned by the Program
Manager.
- Perform other appropriate tasks deemed necessary
by the Program Manager or Center Director.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Possession of a California Class B driver's license and safe driving record..
- Will undergo driving test..
- Familiarity with Oakland Area.
- Bilingual in English and an Asian Language preferred.
- Experience with elderly / handicapped population preferred.
ADA REQUIREMENTS:
- Lifting of at least 50 lbs.
- Good vision and hearing required for driving.
- Ability to sit or stand for extended period.
SALARY RANGE: Depends on Experience.
