The Registry Services program at Family Bridges makes
referrals to affordable, dependable and quality homecare assistance for
low-income individuals who reside in Alameda County and provides employment
opportunities for individuals interested in doing homecare services.
We are the only registry location in the county providing services in
Chinese (Cantonese, Mandarin, and Toishanese) for consumers and prospective
homecare attendants.
Homecare attendants can provide services like housekeeping, cooking and
meal clean-up, laundering clothes, shopping, non-medical personal care
like assisting with bathing, accompaniment to medical appointments, and
paramedical help with administering injections or medications.
If you or a loved one can benefit from receiving homecare services, there
is no easier way to receive these services than to go through Family Bridges.
Our program is subsidized through Alameda County whereas other for-profit
homecare agencies charge you administrative fees for finding an attendant. There
is no charge for this assistance and no administrative fees to pay.
Our staff member and homecare attendants speak various languages including
Cantonese, Mandarin, Toishanese and English. For speakers of other languages,
we use on-demand, telephonic interpretation services.
Please note that we do not provide services for private-pay individuals.
